Power/mation began in 1961 and has grown to multiple locations within Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and the Dakotas.

Duties

Power/mation has an immediate need for a full-time temporary Assembly Technician to work a minimum of 90 days with the Solutions staff to successfully produce assemblies, electrical control sub-assemblies, modification of components, and part kits.  Must be a self-starter, motivated and driven.

Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products

Utilize hand held tools such as a hand held screw and drill gun

R

Perform soldering duties, which is the process in which two or more metal items are joined together by melting and flowing a filler metal (solder) into the joint

R

Maintain inventory of product in work stations

R

Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards

R

Identify product defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified

R

Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes

R

Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures

R

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Qualifications

R

High School Diploma or GED

R

1-2 years mechanical assembly experience may be required

R

Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions

R

Basic computer navigation and utilization skills

R

Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly

R

Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea

R

High attention to detail and self-motivation skills

R

Specific technical or vocational training or certification may be required; may be required to pass ruler test
