Duties

Power/mation has an immediate opening for an Assembly Technician to work Monday-Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm at our Pewaukee, WI location. The Assembly Technician works with the department staff to successfully and profitably produce electrical or mechanical control sub-assemblies, modification of components, and part kits. Must be a self-starter, motivated and driven.

Production of electrical and mechanical control sub-assemblies: assembles or modifies electrical and mechanical components with the use of blueprints, schematics or written work instructions using hand tools and measuring instruments. Work may include fitting or soldering parts together.

Perform tests on electrical assemblies during the production process to ensure quality and performance

Assist department team, customers and sales personnel with technical inquiries and troubleshooting.

Provide field service support and/or troubleshoots customer problems on-site when necessary.

Implement process improvements to help reduce cost and improve the quality of products.

Qualifications

R

High School diploma or equivalent, plus two year electronic technical degree/certificate preferred.

R

Minimum one year electromechanical experience.

R

Knowledge of basic electronic and mechanical theory and systems.

R

Knowledge of inventory procedures and record keeping.

R

Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

R

Ability to read from and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals in order to provide technical assistance.

Ability to operate test equipment in order to perform required tests on electrical and electronic products.
