We help our customers improve their manufacturing processes by assisting them in the application of unique automation solutions in the following technology areas: motion control, logic control, software, sensors, vision, safety, power transmission, panel components and solutions.
Power/mation began in 1961 and has grown to multiple locations within Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and the Dakotas.
Responsibilities
Purchase assigned products.
Problem solve and develop strategies that lead to improvement in vendor performance and profitability.
Maintain optimum product inventory levels.
Schedule and expedite deliveries.
Establish and build relationships with vendors.
Ensure accurate pricing information.
Communicate with sales personnel on deliveries, lead time and vendor updates.
Qualifications
Minimum one year of purchasing experience in distribution buying preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Detail oriented and ability to handle multiple changing priorities.
Skillful vendor negotiation experience.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
