Demand Generation Marketing Manager

We help our customers improve their manufacturing processes by assisting them in the application of unique automation solutions in the following technology areas: motion control, logic control, software, sensors, vision, safety, power transmission, panel components and solutions.

Power/mation began in 1961 and has grown to multiple locations within Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and the Dakotas.

Power/mation is searching for a Demand Generation Marketing Manager for our St. Paul office. This individual owns the marketing automation strategy and execution for our company. They will develop strategies for and provide ROI feedback on all customer activities including newsletters, email campaigns, events, social media, and more as needed. Vendor co-op/MDF funds are managed by the Demand Generation Manager to ensure strategies set by marketing management and vendor channel management are met. The position will support other marketing duties as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Develops and implements marketing structure for marketing automation platform (Hubspot).

R

Tracks ROI and key metrics to determine campaign success. Manages marketing attribution and ROI tracking process utilizing MITS, CRM, Hubspot, and email open leads for all email campaigns.

R

Tracks and monitors usage of co-op/MDF dollars and joint vendor marketing programs. Develops, implements, and evaluates joint marketing programs.

R

Develops and implements and/or ensures implementation of communication programs (news releases, newsletters, publications, social media sites, vendor information sites, company Internet site, company Intranet site, sales meetings, etc.) Plans and edits monthly customer newsletters and e-marketing campaigns, including writing, gathering, and submitting articles and design work.

Manages and oversees the digital marketing and targeted account advertising strategy (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.).

R

Coordinates company events such as vendor awards, open houses, and product expos as well as participation in product shows. Monitors and coordinates timelines for the events to ensure timely completion of projects.

Manages the company social media accounts and posts scheduling tool HootSuite.

Support Responsibilities

R

Plans and supports events such as seminars, lunch and learns, tech fairs, customer appreciation events, and more. Responsibilities include creating flyers, registration pages, booking event spaces, and providing updates to stakeholders.

Creates and compiles marketing analytics reports for the sales team and leadership to gain a comprehensive view of all marketing activities. This data includes: newsletters, social media, email campaigns, number of new accounts, contact form data, contact form requests, company ecommece platform and website traffic, paid digital advertising, previous campaign ROI reports, and customer success stories.

Assist with promotions on Power/mation ecommerce platforms and utilize vendor co-op/MDF where appropriate.

Assists with the campaign planning calendar to determine when email communications are sent.

Regularly attends all regional sales meetings remotely and on occasion, in person.

Works closely with vendors to order and arrange for shipping of special promotional items, training demos, and literature. Prepares invoices accordingly.

Coordinates customer and vendor billing and bill back to vendors.

R

Participates in the overall department budget planning by submitting budget items for marketing programs.

R

Ensures that marketing materials and sites are accurate relative to the vendors represented by the company.

Qualifications & Experience

R

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Marketing or related field strongly preferred.

R

Three years of marketing experience including market research and market analysis. Sales experience is a plus. Distributor experience in the industry or technology preferred.

SEO and HTML experience preferred. Experience with Hubspot or similar marketing automation platform preferred

R

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate seminars, write communication materials, and negotiate with vendors and sales representatives.

R

Knowledge of marketing resources to creatively implement effective marketing initiatives.

R

Self-motivated team player, creative thinker, and detail-oriented.

R

Ability to use PC skills, drawing and graphic design software programs, and other business software to create invitations, agendas, newsletters, and other communication materials. Knowledge of Word, and Excel is required. Strong computer proficiency required. CRM and HTML experience is required. Experience in Hubspot is a plus.

Social media experience required.

R

Demonstrated ability to effectively handle several projects simultaneously. Deadline-oriented with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent planning, organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills. Must be able to work well under pressure.

Ability to travel to company offices and other locations as needed.
