Responsibilities
Power/mation has a Developer/Business Analyst employment opportunity in the IT Department in our St. Paul office. The Developer/Business Analyst leverages advanced IT development knowledge and business experience to develop and support key business applications along with reporting and analytics. This individual is responsible for effective communication with business stakeholders to gather requirements and report on progress through all stages of development and delivery.
Develop and support business rules within ERP
Learn and support existing custom web applications in development
Responsible for optimal performance and availability of custom development, reporting, and analytics
Work with management and 3rd parties to create, maintain and adhere to existing IT policies, procedures, and strategies
May require travel to other regional office locations on occasion
Create and maintain reporting and analytics to support the business via information and insights
Create and maintain SQL database functions and scripts
Adhere to best practices related to authentication and data security
Develop and maintain documentation around areas of responsibility
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent IT degree with equivalent experience
Three or more years of experience in a business analyst or similar role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent C# and .Net development skills
Experience with distribution ERP software such as Epicor P21
Advanced knowledge in Microsoft business applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word
Five or more years of experience in an IT development role
Two or more years of experience working within a distribution business
Exceptional time management and organization skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and related components (ex. SSMS and SSRS)
Experience with EDI implementations and support
