Responsibilities

The Electrical Design Drafter will created detailed schematics that are utilized in the design and manufacturing of Electrical Automation products. These detailed technical drawings incorporate elements of the customer design requirements as well as input from engineering and includes the following:

Applicable electrical codes

R

UL standards and practice

R

JIT electrical schematics library

R

CAD standards

Qualifications

R

Two year technical degree in drafting and electrical systems or equivalent experience

R

Basic understanding of electrical control systems and electrical JIC standards and symbols

R

Knowledge of automation products to design solutions for customers

R

Must be able to manage multiple aspects of small to mid-sized projects from conception to implementation

R

Effective written and verbal communication skills

R

Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequently changing priorities

R

Effective listening and problem solving skills to effectively interact with customers and sales staff

R

Ability to travel as needed, including overnight, to vendors, customers and other Power/mation locations
