Responsibilities

The Inside Sales Returns / Repairs Assistant will provide excellent customer service and sales support by answering questions involving company products and resolving problems regarding customer returns and repairs to ensure customer needs are satisfied.

Process customer returns, replacements, repairs and credit orders on the computer. Checks order status and provides price and availability to customers

R

Receives and edits customer returns, repairs, replacements and credit orders as to completeness of specification, price, delivery, customer identity, location, etc. for standardized product sales

R

Analyze and interpret incoming customer return and repair orders adhering to the various factory policies and procedures for handling returns

R

Refers questionable order data to designated inside or outside person or customer facility

R

Resolves complaints or problems regarding products sent in for repairs or returns and must work in conjunction with Purchasing and Sales handling factory recalls as needed

Follow up with company and factory personnel to ensure timely course of customer orders, returns, repairs and credits

R

Strive to reach company goal of having credits processed to customer within 30 days and maintaining corporate on-time delivery goals

R

Work as a team with other sales personnel and other departments to ensure best possible customer service

R

Maintain and update the assigned vendor details area on the vendor information intranet site

R

Advise Operations - Return/Repair Department of new/existing return/repair factory policies that need to be posted

R

Keep inside sales staff informed on factory return/repairs policies via email and vendor information at inside sales meetings when needed

Qualifications

R

High school degree or equivalent required

R

Two-year technical degree preferred

R

Minimum of two years of customer service experience preferably with industrial products

R

Knowledge of sensors, basic drives and instrumentation to assist customers with accurate product selection preferred

R

Strong verbal and written communication skills required

R

Excellent judgement and decision-making skills to handle customer inquiries

R

Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities to satisfy all customers’ requirements

R

Ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software
