Power/mation is seeking a full-time MARKETING SPECIALIST in our St. Paul Office to assist in the coordination and implementation of our company’s marketing activities. Key areas of emphasis include event planning (product seminars and trainings, trade shows, tech fairs, lunch and learns, customer appreciation events, golf outings) and strategic marketing communications (social media, email campaigns, company and product announcements).
Facilitate and partake in the planning of all marketing communications, activities, and customer-facing events. This includes coordinating all aspects of customer trainings and seminars, tech fairs, trade shows, lunch and learns, golf outings, open houses, etc. Work with management, Business Development specialist and the Marketing Content Specialist to establish a comprehensive marketing plan to ensure communications, activities and events are successful and meet expectations.
Organize all external event planning logistics. Reserve venue space if event is not held in-house, schedule catering and rental equipment as needed. If held in-house, ensure meeting space is available and set up.
Keep open communication with management and other involved staff members to ensure activities and events are accounted for.
Order and promote internally Power/mation branded promotional items and clothing. Prepare, communicate and allocate purchase orders and invoices accordingly. Track and use vendor co-op dollars.
Field all Marketing phone calls, emails and requests. Research and provide answers.
Responsible for gathering and tracking all activities and event expenses including paid programs or software invoices, event invoices and other expenses related to Marketing. Approve and submit to manager and Accounting for payment.
Create an online registration and landing page in Constant Contact and add to our website for events as needed. Work with the Marketing Content Specialist to create promotional flyers. Be the point person and take customer and internal inquiries for all activities and events.
Monitor and coordinate timelines and materials for external trainings to ensure timely completion of materials and billings. Communicate inventory needs to ensure proper handouts, literature and supplies are available. Assist with shipping of training materials to other offices as needed.
Coordinate customer and vendor billing for various events.
Develop and implement marketing communications (press releases, website content, email campaigns, social media, vendor information site, product announcements).
Work with Marketing Content Specialist on developing website content and continued maintenance.
Work with the Business Development specialists to create monthly company newsletter including writing and gathering content. Work with Marketing Content Specialist on necessary art work and images. Generate monthly newsletter click through reports to send to sales staff.
Work with the VP of Business Development and sales management to establish annual corporate marketing budget.
Bachelors degree in Marketing, Event Management or Public Relations strongly preferred. Minimum of three years experience in this type of capacity.
Strong computer proficiency. Website maintenance, intermediate to advanced Adobe Creative Suite, Word, Excel and Access skills as well as HTML experience are all required.
Demonstrated organizational skills to effectively handle several projects simultaneously. Deadline oriented with strong attention to detail. Excellent planning and problem solving skills. Must be able to work well under pressure.
Experience with Constant Contact and Survey Monkey strongly desired.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Dependable customer-focused individual with a positive attitude who is courteous, cooperative and professional when dealing with others. Must be able to work well independently as well as collaboratively as a member of the team.
