Maintains a positive, productive work environment and promotes a customer focused culture and climate among the warehouse staff. Coordinates staffing coverage for the department which includes approving time off as appropriate and processing time cards
Responsible for the initial and ongoing training and development needs of assigned warehouse staff.
Conducts departmental meetings on a regular basis to communicate policies and procedures and to address questions and concerns.
Facilitates problem-solving sessions to resolve concerns, works through opportunities for improvement and responds to quality corrective actions.
Ensures effective and smooth operations between the warehouse, return/repairs, and other internal departments to facilitate customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Interfaces with other members of management to ensure quality of operation and effective communication between departments.
Plans and supervises materials handling and quality control functions including but not limited to efficient warehouse layout, proper product storage, effective employee productivity, and effective coordination of the warehouse and distribution activities.
Responsible for Inventory Control including physical handling and storing of product, accuracy of count, shipping, receiving and picking/packing processes for assigned offices. Responsible for logistics issues including the transportation of product and freight line services. Manages cycle count as requested and assists in annual inventory when necessary.
Responsible for promoting an environment of continuous improvement. Responsible for providing and analyzing the data and summary for warehouse quality and key indicator measurements by providing written recommendations to the Director of Operations on how to improve underperforming areas.
Makes recommendations to the Director of Operations for changes and improvements to promote efficiency, accuracy, faster service and lower costs.
Adheres to budget and approves expenses within level of authority. Assesses capital and other resources necessary to provide smooth, cost effective operations.
May perform backup driving if driving staff unavailable.
