Responsibilities

Power/mation has an employment opportunity available for a Price/Cost Analyst in our St. Paul office. The Price/Cost Analyst maintains our pricing and special costing database information for products sold by Power/mation. The individual in this role performs proactive data mining and analysis to identify improvement opportunities in pricing and costing as well as establishes, maintains, and analyzes stock product “best buy” opportunities.

Performs margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives as required.

Performs analysis of existing transactional level data to identify price/margin erosion and assist sales and product management teams in constructing and implementing solutions.

Reviews vendor price increases, making recommendations for increased customer price and margin improvement

Reviews vendor’s special pricing agreements to ensure we are receiving the best price for each customer’s situation.

Leads sales pricing planning sessions; educating the sales department on pricing tools and collaborates on margin improvement opportunities.

Maintains and develops processes, tools and reports focusing on pricing accuracy and profit maximization.

Qualifications

R

High school diploma or equivalent.

R

Experience in pricing and/or data analytics required. Distribution and market/product knowledge preferred.

R

Significant knowledge of Microsoft Office application, with an emphasis on Excel and SharePoint. Experience with business intelligence (BI) and query tools.

R

Knowledge of organizational operational systems such as Epicor P21.

R

Strong analytic skills.

R

Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.

R

Problem solving abilities.

R

Occasional travel to other company locations and customer sites as needed.
