Responsibilities
The Price/Cost Coordinator maintains pricing and special costing database information for products sold by Power/mation. This individual is the point of contact for internal price issues and general questions for all regions and works collaboratively with the purchasing, pricing and sales teams to ensure margins are maintained and improved where possible.
Maintains pricing and special costing database information on products sold by the organization.
Sets up and manages vendor rebates and special pricing records.
Manages customer pricing for key accounts.
Proactively identifies questionable margin issues and corrects on daily basis.
Maintains special customer’s pricing and costing, including special pricing agreements and rebates.
Works closely with the Price/Cost Analyst and Buyers in regards to maintaining pricing and special costing database.
Maintains, improves and develops procedures and policies focusing on pricing accuracy and profit maximization.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
A minimum of two years of price/costing activities needed. Distribution and market/product knowledge preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel. Proficient computer skills.
Knowledge of organizational operational systems to know how and who can assist in pricing and costing problems.
Ability to work in a team to efficiently and effectively complete departmental responsibilities.
Strong attention to detail. Ability to organize, handle and set multiple and changing priorities relative to their importance to efficiently and effectively complete job responsibilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. abilities to assist in problem solving with staff and ascertain the needs of customers.
Problem solving capabilities
Ability to travel occasionally to other Company locations and customer sites as needed.
