Power/mation began in 1961 and has grown to multiple locations within Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska and the Dakotas.

Responsibilities

The Price/Data Analyst maintains our pricing and special costing database. The individual in this role performs proactive data mining and analysis to identify pricing and costing improvement opportunities and works collaboratively with the sales and purchasing departments to ensure healthy profitability.

Performs margin and pricing analysis to support key business initiatives as required. Proactively identifies questionable margin issues and corrects on a daily basis.

Performs analysis of existing transactional level data to identify price/margin erosion.

Maintains special customer pricing and costing, including special pricing agreements and rebates.

Makes recommendations for increased customer pricing to coincide with vendor price increases.

R

Reviews general pricing structure. Makes suggestions to the sales management team to change sell pricing to increase profitability while maintaining competitive marketing pricing.

Qualifications

R

High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 5 years experience with price/costing activities

R

Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel

R

Ability to organize and set priorities

R

Strong analytic skills

R

Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills

R

Problem solving abilities

R

Distribution and market/product knowledge preferred

R

Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently

R

Occasional travel to other company locations and customer sites as needed
