This individual will work with Power/mation Solutions Group engineers and sales staff to provide customer service, pricing and order entry support for Power/mation Solutions Group projects. The individual will interpret and analyze inquiries for projects and resolve problems regarding Power/mation Solution Group orders to ensure project needs are met. It is desired that candidates would be familiar with company products, product applications, pricing procedures and sales policies but it is not necessary.
Projects include: turnkey solutions, assembly and modification of components, control panel assembly, programming and start-up assistance
Following established procedures in accordance to Solutions Group work instructions to enter and coordinate Solutions Group project orders, quote prices, requesting SPA’s, terms of sales, verifying component availability, expediting orders, ensuring component delivery dates to integration partners and customers. Serves as backup for Solutions jobs for other regions when necessary.
Following up with company and factory personnel to ensure timely course of customer orders, returns, repairs, and credits. Keeping Solutions Group staff, customers and Power/mation Inside Sales staff informed of project status. Coordinates part shipments to integration partners for assigned projects.
Assessing stock levels for consumables in the Solutions Group department and making recommendations to Purchasing department to maintain adequate levels.
Interface with designated integration partners to:
develop working relationships
, attend meetings to ensure desired progress with projects and ensure product availability to integration partners. Travel to local integrator partners may be required.
Actively works to improve or maintain acceptable profit margins.
Actively pursue deeper knowledge of current Power/mation products. Review new literature, attend product trainings conducted at Power/mation; and with manager approval, attend offsite training sessions.
Maintain positive vendor relations including the resolution of problems. Keep management informed of important issues.
Ensure that all Solutions Group orders are invoiced in a timely matter on completion of the project and all parts, services and costs are entered properly and notify assigned responsible engineer of margin status.
Clerical duties as required.
Two year technical degree preferred. Two years customer service experience required.
Strong computer skills and ability to learn company specific software. Knowledge of industrial automation products including mechanical, electrical and PLC systems is desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively present/communicate technical information in face to face meetings and via telephone. Good interpersonal communication skills to promote positive relationships with vendors, customers and Power/mation staff.
Organizational skills and time management in order to ensure projects are covered in an efficient manner as well as the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent changing priorities on a regular basis.
Maintains an efficient and productive organizational system to generate high level of accuracy and quantity of project orders.
Ability to work independently in order to effectively focus efforts to achieve maximum productivity and results.
Follows company policies and procedures; ability to process project orders accurately; works proactively with internal departments to minimize problems with customer and project orders.
Ability to travel to offsite business/customer locations if required.
